About the event

This planting will be located at the Camp Washington Perennial Farm, which is the main resource hub and demonstration site for The Common Orchard Project. This 2 acre farm is located at River City Correction Facility, currently hosts a 40 tree demonstration orchard, nursery space, 30x96 Hoop House, and 500 sq ft skid steer powered composting operation. Even with all this, there is ample non-productive grass space that we would like to transition to even more tree covered and productive space.

We hope to continue to grow out the prodcutive capacity of the farm, project by project, tree by tree.

Come help us from 10:00-1:00 plant more trees and pot up herbs for orchards all over!

Light refreshments provided

Parking:

As you turn into work house Drive, the farm gate is immediately on the left. Continue on and park in River City Corrections parking lot, closest to the farm. Not close to the front door of River City Corrections.
